Nestled in the heart of Little India in Singapore is the Indian inspired cocktail bar Lofty Peaks.

Bright smiles and vibrant chatter from both patrons and staff greeted us upon arrival through the sliding doors which revealed a chic and modern bar top with splashes of gold trimmings to add to its sophistication.

Diners have a choice of table seating, bar top dining or even comfy sofa seats to enjoy their drinks amongst friends.

Their drinks are inspired by their head mixologist Prady. He has incorporated his roots from the dusty roads of India and infused it amongst a flurry of mysterious smoke, fairy dust and generous portions of alcohol, all mixed into a insta-ready refreshing cocktail. Each finished off with his charming personality and million dollar smile.

Unlike your typical bar, which offers peanuts or at best bar snacks and finger food, Lofty Peaks offers a full blown menu which is backed by their restaurant adjacent to them and separated by a mere sliding door.

We ordered a variety of dishes of which all arrived piping hot and were bursting with authentic flavours taking us back to the streets of Chennai.

The delightful crisp resounded like music to our ears with each bite as we sank our teeth into the Butter Laccha Paratha (SGD 5.90) and Onion Naan (SGD 5.90) which we gleefully dipped into the creamy Butter Chicken (SGD 17.90).

Mugh Afghani Kebabs (SGD 17.90)

For the carnivores, we would recommend the unctuous Mugh Afghani Kebabs (SGD 17.90) consisting of tender bite sized chicken accompanied by a refreshing mint chutney.

Dahi Puri (SGD 8)

For those seeking refreshing bar snacks could try the crispy Dahi Puri (SGD 8). These potato stuffed snacks oozing with a yoghurt filling and topped with crunchy sev make a good snack amongst friendly banter.

Singapore Chilli Prawns (17.90)

Summing up the meal, we had crunchy fresh Singapore Chilli Prawns (17.90). Delicious as they were, we would personally recommend the Indian dishes which were our favourites.

Given we were in a bar, needless to say, we had a go at their drinks as well.

Mumbai Honeycomb Mule

Topping our list and satisfying most sweet tooth would be the Mumbai Honeycomb Mule (Vodka, fresh ginger, a dash of lime lime, turmeric with Indian spice perfume) complete with a dash of pure honey comb on a curry leaf which gives a refreshing yet sweet touch.

Singapooru Singari with a Chinese hand fan

For others who are looking for a prettier option or something with a little smokey action could try the Ratafia with Smoke or Singapooru Singari with a Chinese hand fan.

Ratafia with Smoke

All in all, it was a wonderful and fun experience which left us hungry (and thirsty) for more.

P.S. We would advise first timers to follow the road in searching for the entrance as an attempt from the Little India Arcade might prove a little challenging.
