Food Delivery Review : Three Is Better Than One
The biggest challenge faced by the traditional food delivery operators is being limited to the offerings of a restaurant/cafe. Tiffin combines the culinary arts of multiple restaurants to delivery a wholesome meal right to your doorstep with a mix of variety and flavours to tickle your taste buds. In theory, it sounds like a very good idea though it could be very taxing logistically but extremely rewarding if paired well.
The result? A combination of a sweet and savoury meal. There was American Favourite Inspired chicken ( @soulbyrd.my )as the mains with a spring roll mimicking the likes of a western samosa filled with meat, pineapple and melted cheese.
Crispy on the outside and moist and juicy within. The green rice was a little too sour for comfort though.
This was followed by sweet and savoury doughnuts ( @notidoughnuts ). They were a little exotic especially the ones with an apple pie filling topped with a parmesan crisp. We did prefer the simpler Chocolate glazed doughnut which was also like a pie filled with caramelised bananas and topped with marshmallows.
Completing the meal was 2 chocolate dip sticks from ( @cocoraw.me ) which should have made a good night cap. An interesting thing to note is that their dipsticks are more cocoa infused with Gula Melaka with a sprinkle of sea salt than chocolate hence you get a very rich bitter sweet taste unlike your usual Cadbury. I dipped 1 in milk and another in coffee. Though I can’t quite find the words to describe it, it wasn’t unpleasant but more of an acquired taste. It was quite a memorable and eye opening experience.
