We’ll Be Coming Round The Mountain

Today we head off into the Snowdonia Mountain Ranges and ride on an Old Smoky up the side of the mountains and into the clouds!

Advanced booking of tickets especially during peak seasons as places can fill up quickly.

On a nice sunny day, one can expect 360 panoramic views of the mountain ranges. However on cloudy days it can get quite foggy with limited visibility.

At the moment, for 2022, the trains only stop at the station 3/4 of the way to the top as the remaining part of the track is under going maintenance.

Guests are welcome to walk the rest of the way but do be wary of the train timings so as not to miss the last train down.

On the train to the top of the mountain, the scenerary was breath taking with panoramic views of sheep happily gazing.

However, the moment we entered the cloud cover, it was so thick that we did not manage to break through by the time we reached the 3/4 station hence visibility was limited.

However, on clear days, one can expect breath taking views of the mountain ranges and valleys below.

Up in the clouds, temperatures dropped considerably as well hence you might want to consider wrapping up a little.

Families with children might also want to keep their little ones close as exposed cliff edges are abundant.
