Where The Land Meets The Sky
Deep within the heart of Jewel Singapore lies a casual Izakaya (Hitoyoshi Izakaya) tucked close the famous indoor waterfall.
Whist waiting to board our flight, we strolled over and dinned amidst the therapeutic sound of the cascading waterfall.
We ordered a fragrant bowl of Japanese Fried Rice (SGD 10) which was topped with fried garlic and crunchy chives.
The Aburi Salmon Garlic Mayo Don (SGD 19) arrived with thinly sliced salmon which had been lightly kissed by the flame of a blow torch, drizzled with garlic mayo and topped with a generous amount of Ikura.
Last but not least was the Gyuniku Teriyaki (SGD 36), lightly grilled Japanese wagyu beef glazed with teriyaki sauce and garnished with sliced garlic.
Given that we visited on a week day, the food arrived pretty quickly. Though it was a little warm in Singapore’s tropical weather, it was still a beautiful environment to dine in.
